I think people either don't think this type of thing is really happening, or they think they have nothing to hide, so what's the big deal. I used to think the latter, that I am a good citizen, so it probably won't affect me. After thinking about this a while, and seeing how those in power tend to behave, I realized this is not okay. What I think as harmless, someone in power may think as really threatening. I know that the technology is not there yet to deal with these billions of pieces of data. However, there is a ton of effort going into figuring out how to filter through all this data. In the meantime, piles of data are being stored for when that technology finally is invented. My liberty dies if I can't do things in private, and I am not okay with that! I watched the interview.
